Bewerley Park Day 4

Day Four at Bewerley Park has truly been one to remember — a fantastic day packed with adventure, challenge, and achievement!

Today was all about exploring the stunning Yorkshire Dales on a full day of mountain walking. Two of the groups took on the incredible challenge of climbing up to Simon’s Seat. The ascent was steep and demanding, and the descent even steeper, but the sense of accomplishment at reaching the summit made it all worthwhile. Despite the very windy conditions at the top, the views and the feeling of standing high above the landscape were absolutely amazing.

Meanwhile, the other group experienced a different kind of adventure, visiting a ghyll along their route. They showed great determination and teamwork as they navigated tricky rock faces, using careful footwork and clever manoeuvres to make their way through the challenging terrain. It was a brilliant test of both physical skill and problem-solving.

After a wonderful day filled with sunshine and fresh air, we returned to base to begin packing for our journey home. There’s still a little more to finish in the morning before we head off for our final activity — and one we are all very excited about — canoeing!

This evening brought another highlight: the Nightline challenge. Wearing helmets and blindfolds, we worked together to guide one another through an obstacle course. It was a real test of trust, communication, and listening skills, and everyone rose to the challenge.

As we come towards the end of our residential, it’s clear just how action-packed this week has been. It has been full of fun, excitement, teamwork, and unforgettable moments — memories that will stay with us for years to come.
