Bewerley Park Day 3

We have now reached Day 3 of our residential at Bewerley Park, and the children continue to impress us with their enthusiasm, resilience and teamwork.

Over the past few days, they have taken part in a wide range of exciting and challenging activities. One of the standout experiences has been scrambling through a ghyll near Bewerley. The children showed incredible determination and perseverance as they climbed over rocks, navigated the flowing water and supported one another every step of the way. It has been wonderful to see their confidence grow as they step outside their comfort zones.

They have also tackled the high ropes course, experienced the thrill of abseiling and shown real bravery when completing the leap of faith. Each activity has pushed the children in different ways, and they have approached every challenge with positive attitudes and a willingness to keep trying.

This evening, we have been focusing on teamwork through our initiatives course. Working in groups, the children completed three different challenges that required communication, cooperation and problem-solving skills. It has been fantastic to watch them share ideas, listen to one another and work together to succeed.

Of course, there has been plenty of fun along the way too—from the excitement of getting into wetsuits to the laughter shared while solving tricky challenges. The children have created so many wonderful memories already, and it has been lovely to hear them talking about their “best bits” of the trip so far—there are certainly a lot to choose from!

We are incredibly proud of how the children have approached every experience with determination, perseverance and a sense of adventure. With more activities still to come, we are sure there will be many more highlights to add before we head home.
